The 2023 summer meeting was hosted at the Hall, Milden. We had updates from Jenny on cluster activities, events and the Landscape Recovery application. We also had a talk from Emily Swan (Natural England) about the Insect Connect project with farmers in the Brecks, and from John on monitoring they have undertaken at Shimpling Park and why it’s important to baseline your farm. We then headed out on a farm walk, looked at the County Wildlife Site meadow, heard about the National Highways enhancement project, using green hay from the same meadow. We also heard from cluster members, Lucy on Deer Management and Nick on water quality.
